Federico Gutierrez achieved the official candidacy for center-right candidate with more that 1.7 million votes. The former mayor of Medellin was elected Barguil (Char), Penalosa and Tab of los Cristianos.

Additionally, Gutierrez holds a Specialization in Senior Management and Political Science degrees from the Pontifical Bolivarian University.

Actually, he confronted former mayors whom he had previously backed. He recently stated, "I have been standing in solidarity with the people in the report because I don't believe that anyone decides to make such a decision in order to make sure that the tunnel of diversion falls. There is solidarity and some sectors do get targeted by political tactics."

In the month of October, 2021, the so called Experience coalition was created that later became known as the Team for Colombia.
