This is a story about how I rescued my life when I was in trouble.

We were just a few hours from home and only 2 states away. Yet we weren't sure what the next step was going to bring. It was just like many of those horror movies started - driving in the dark on a winding road surrounded by thick bushes on both sides of the road. It was pretty much a forest.. It was somewhere in North Dakota, although of course, a lot of these movies start in Maine.. The plan was supposed to reach the cabin we rented in the dark, but minor car trouble turned into an hour-long delay when we realized that this vehicle didn't have an jack for the tire to actually replace the tire. It is likely that the previous renters snatched the tire or left it in the garage unattended.


After three hours of change of tires it was finally here. It was snowing. Thenit was an avalanche. It caused an awfully large accumulation of snow right on the road. And just for fun, we were in deep in the swirling white river. We didn't want trapped under any trees that had completely fallen off the ground. They floated around us. We were able to navigate through the snow without any issues. After that, we realized that we had been trapped in the snow for the entire night.

I was aware of the direction we were headed, so I set up three iPads with HULU and Netflix shows.
