I have visited many places since I came here, and one of my favorites is Piedmont Park.
Piedmont Park is the oldest and largest park in the Atlanta metro region. They say, Piedmont Park is Atlanta's Central Park, or at least a mini version of it. Don't you think they look similar?
So, here is a direction. I recommend getting there by public transportation because the number of parking lots around the park is very limited. The nearest MARTA station is Midtown. When you get out of the station, just walk eastwards on the road. It takes about 10 - 15 min on foot.
At the park, there are many things to do; such as sports, running, swimming, picnic, riding a bike, and so on.
There is even a dog park.
They have not only these activities, but also many events and festivals.
Green Market is a market, where local people sell many things like fresh bread, vegetables, smoothies, and something like that. It's held in every Saturday morning.
This is a big Jazz festival which was held last month. In addition, there are other various events throughout the year.
