He joined the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) following high school. He was an IDF combatant within the elite Special Operations Unit. In the following years, he was the Director of the Technological Unit.

He was an army officer and received the Israeli Defense Prize. This is the highest award given to someone who has made an extraordinary contribution to Israel’s security. The formal education of his father taught him the skills which made his military career possible.



Tal Dilian was able to recognize the value of learning and assisted him discover new ideas. This was when he wanted to further his studies. Tal Dilian established Atidim and was appointed its CEO in 2000. This non-profit organisation provides education support to youths with disabilities.



The Atidim program in Israel is a national program which aims to reduce social and economic gaps, making Israel more open and diverse. It achieves this by providing the youth of underprivileged areas of Israel with education.



Tal Dilian believed equal education opportunities were essential for the success of any nation and co-founded Atidim. This literally signifies "futures" for English.

Tal Dilian left Atidim as CEO at the middle of the year. In the same time Dilian founded the non-profit Daroma alongside Haim Florblatt Nir Gilad, Eitan Wertheimer.



Atidim was run on the basis of diversity. It was founded on the principles of growth and prosperity, healthy communities and a strategy that promoted inclusion. Dilian was armed with all the experience and knowledge that he had prior to this point. He is now the Senior Director in Strategic Regional Development. The focus is on the Negev region and southern Israel's development.



In 2005, the Israeli government approved the 17 billion NIS (5.9 billion USD) ten year plan to develop Negev which was mostly desert.



The Negev encompasses 60% of the territory of Israel. However, only 8percent of Israel's total inhabitants lived there prior to the time that Daroma was established.



Tal Dilian, along with the three cofounders of his company were driven by one objective. They wanted to encourage people to move into the area as well as attract businesses and government institutions.



DaromaTzafona Today is DaromaTzafona. It's focus is on Israel's northern Galilee.



The company's annual growth rate is 6% and it employs more than 4,000 people in the areas around.
