Traveling with kids is a challenge. It isn't possible to rely on the internet to climb an mountain. I would rather prepare at home.

Tablet 2 was introduced a few trips after tablet 1 but it was available when we arrived at The Wild. My kids were hooked and watching the shows. A couple of DIY videos were created by me, like making a tent, and making fresh-caught fish skins. These are activities you could not attempt at home. A few of the videos I downloaded from Youtube then converted them into MP4 files and then downloaded onto my tablet. It's much easier to have video on the tablet when you're working on something and can't bother waiting for the video to play when you're there.. Download videos onto your tablet in the time is up, so do not waste time on the issue.


These two tips have kept our children entertained on four family camping outings. Even though they don't like being outside, they know that tablet 2 will keep them busy in boring idle time. They will also take it home as soon as they are completed. This is all I've ever wanted, and I've never been happier.
