This has been something I've thought about for a while. As a resident of the USA I am totally involved in all aspects of the pop music culture. Dua Lipa's slippers are my main source of inspiration. Kanye West, drooling at his beautiful wife. I am a huge fan of pop culture and admire all the participants. I'd be a perfect host in one of the Gossip & Hollywood Info-Talk shows. Hosts share the secrets of celebrities. They then switch to less well-known hosts and finish with blasts from pasts, aka sightings that aren't around for quite a while. I'd love to discuss all the latest news and gossip in a passionate, loving way, while most current hosts just smack some information but never discuss.
So I have tried to add songs from other countries into my playlist of songs to listen to. In the beginning, I am trying to determine what is the top charts in other countries. I started by looking up a few European monoliths like Germany as well as the UK, France and Sweden. I thought I was an expert after hours of Youtube and it would give me the data I wanted. It's not so simple. It appears that all you can see is what's trending in their particular region or their country. I searched other websites for the top 20 most-viewed Youtube videos from their countries. Some did. But the majority of them were outdated. No one wants to write about the top 20 every week. This is meant for television. Hit-parades and things like that.
I tried it again.. However, after weeks of not finding anything more than a few or a few, and being unable to find any source of trending songs from other countries I was ready to give in. My solution was so far to utilize a free-proxy type of plugin in Firefox (usually FF has better plugins and has more affection from developers, I guess) that would allow me to connect to the Internet thru someone else located in a different nation, so I would browse Youtube like I was in Spain or Germany. It was not reliable as the connections will disappear and slow. But it worked, so I tried it. Limited number of countries and the need to search for good sources were really getting to me.. So I've discovered this fantastic little Youtube to mp3 converter site which surprised me with its hidden functionality.
It was the Top 20 most popular Youtube videos link. It loaded around 20 Youtube music videos simultaneously according to the promise. What a surprise! Top 20 German-language music videos were loaded.. I was amazed to find that there are 25 languages on the website. Each of them had the top 20 most popular songs that were hot in that particular language. No matter how it happens, I loved it. It's extremely simple, speedy and user-friendly. You can navigate through and change languages, and you will discover the most popular songs of Korea as well as other countries including Hungary, Romania and Portugal.
