From time-to-time most of us fail as a result of:
(a) our personal doing (refusing to take care of or just being blind to the reality);
(b) someone else's actions (stabbing me within the back);
(c) a, uncontrollable events (much like the current overall economy); or
(d) a mixture of the above.
That's life. As the saying goes, "Bad the unexpected happens to good people."
We can take some perverse peace of mind in that it is also correct that bad unexpected things happen to bad and stupid people.
5 tactics to further improve yourself as well as your employees...
1. Accept what is. It is the starting point working one's exit from the present situation. I have to know were I am to access where I want to go.
2. Focus on where I want to be. Digest the reality that I am from a better future. Trying is alright. attempting is slacking off. Acting with force and persistence for making my future happen works.
3. Failures will be the classroom for learning. We all live in the room for improvement. Stop whining about the crappy, painful situation. Give the self-centered indisputable fact that I am stupid, bad or... because this is happening to me. Bad, painful experiences will be the entrance fees to wisdom.
4. Carry on. With a little the help of your mates. We are not alone. We have people in your lives that are waiting in the wings to supply us some help. Open your vision, heart and mind for many years.
5. Review, revise, reinforce. Get feedback and "feedforward."
As Marshall goldsmith says, "What got me here won't get me there."
There it really is. Go forth and improve -- should you to adopt the assignment.
