Manabe o-toge
is a Japanese film from 1965. It is known as The Big Bang in the US. It was directed by Kiichi Nakai and written by Yutaka Ikeda. The film won a prize at the Venice Film Festival.

Manabe o-toge is a comedy in which a manservant (played by Kippei Shiina) goes on vacation to have his tonsils removed, and gets treated at the clinic.

Plot
Kuzui (played by Kippei Shiina) is an actor who is committed to his career. He goes on a business trip to Kamakura. On the train, he meets a clerk who confides to him that he is going for medical treatment to have his tonsils removed. Kuzui confides that he is going for tonsillectomy, too, and the two get friendly, eat and drink together, and end up traveling together to Kamakura. Kuzui doesn't know where the train is going or where he is going. He meets an old friend who says he is traveling for medical treatment of tonsillitis.

They arrive in Kamakura, and check into the hotel. The clerk shows Kuzui the ginkgo tree in which he had his tonsils removed. Kuzui gets a consultation from one of the doctors who was present at the operation, but the doctor's bedside manners are unacceptable to Kuzui. The clerk takes Kuzui to a hotel where there are more proper methods for medical treatment. The clerk says that his tonsils are not getting any better, so Kuzui decides to give in and have them removed. He goes to the clinic. It turns out that the clerk is an acquaintance of a surgeon who is a resident there.

Kuzui confides in the doctor that he is worried about the contract his brother was going to sign. He has been having trouble getting an insurance policy. https://shariki.me/ The doctor doesn't care about Kuzui's problems, but thinks they are funny, and he lets Kuzui stay in the operation room. Kuzui is in extreme pain from the operation. The doctor and nurse start talking about a lot of things, including Kuzui. The nurse says that Kuzui has "big balls", and this surprises the doctor.
