At Family Guide I write a monthly column about ways we can keep our families connected to what is going on in the life of our Lord Jesus. It is called “Family Guide to Living”. One of the things our family is currently doing is participating in Life Teen, an organization dedicated to serving teens in the area. Being a part of Life Teen has been a great tool to getting my kids connected to Christ and preparing them for their future with him.
Life Teen also has a program called the Gifts of Learning. Each month they have a few different opportunities for parents to join in with their teens and help them learn more about the Bible. The first gift you can sign up for is called the Out of the Mouths of Children Club.
The first step in joining this program is telling them you would like to participate in their program. They will send you a “Get Started Kit” and you will be in touch with them to find out exactly how to go about participating. The next step is to choose the class you would like to participate in. Their list of classes runs the gamut from Bible to the Bible and you can pick the one that will best match with your family’s needs.

I love that my husband and I get to get together with the kids while they are being taught. This means we are learning about the Bible with them at the same time.
