Blockchain chronology of mining blocks and its effect on the system

Introduction:

Blockchain is an append-only sequential data structure, which is more suitable for the purpose of storing electronic currency. Almost every programming language has the concept of arrays and it is much more suitable to the purpose. Blockchain uses what is known as Merkle trees for storing transactions. A branch in a tree is considered a block. Every block stores the hash of its previous block. In blockchain, every block contains a cryptographic hash of its preceding block. These blocks are linked together sequentially and chronologically.

There are two rules that governs the insertion and removal of new blocks in blockchain. These rules are :1) Each block must reference a valid preceding block. 2) The hash of any subsequent block must be calculated from the hash of its immediate preceding block.

When a block is added to the blockchain, a hash is generated from the last block in the chain and the hash is used to generate a new “child” block. This process is continued until the number of blocks is equal to the predetermined size of the blockchain.

The first transaction in the blockchain is called the Genesis block. The genesis block is a block that is added to the blockchain when the blockchain is initialized. It is the root node of the blockchain.

In bitcoin, a blockchain is a public, immutable ledger of all bitcoin transactions conducted within a network of computers called miners. Each block in the blockchain contains an encrypted timestamp link that connects it to the previous block.

Each block in the blockchain is made up of a header and two parts. The header of every block is a hash of the previous block. The block also contains the hash (0 in decimal) of the Merkle tree that is used to verify the validity of all transactions.

A block hash is a numerical string of the same length as the block itself. Each block starts with a specially formatted pattern that begins with a 1 or 0 and is defined as follows:
