RipClear Moto Goggle Lens Protection Product Review
If you could select one annoying thing about having your gear ready, what might you choose? For me it’s changing goggle lenses; even though some goggle brands (like Oakley and Scott) are easier to change as opposed to runners, I still never enjoy installing a fresh lens. Well RipClear makes protective lenses for nearly anything that needs clear vision, from Go Pro’s, goggles and even cell phone screen protectors, RipClear has something for everything. They reached to Keefer Inc. Testing to find out if we'd want to consider trying some goggle lens protectors and since Keefer has watched me fumble with lenses multiple times he sent them my way. In the pack of lens protectors there's two universal fit goggle protectors, two wet wipes, one micro fiber cloth as well as dust removal sheets along with step by step instructions. To be 100% honest, my very first time installing a protector I messed all of it up along to junk one before working out the whole process and fitment. Seeing as these are generally universal fit, with respect to the goggle, you might have to trim the sides to suit relating to the tear off posts in your lens (at least I did around the Scott Prospects). Once the protector was trimmed I made certain the lens was perfectly clean and carefully installed the “RipClear” following the instructions closely.

One thing I noticed was that I must be careful making sure the sides were all just how down and also to ensure the bubbles were out from within the protector before riding. If you can find any bubbles or possibly a lifted edge and you go out to get a ride, it collects debris and helps make the high spots noticeable in your field of view, which may be annoying for a lot of riders. If it is all totally installed correctly you can actually so slightly see the fringe of the protector although not enough to be bothersome. The reason RipClear started selling goggle lens protectors is really because no one likes changing lenses on a regular basis (and it’s expensive). These can build your lenses go longer and are also claimed to produce the lens stronger (although I never tested the thought). After some time with all the RipClear protectors I have to appear definitely more scratch resistant (specifically in the Costa Rican mud in which you may or may not have ran away from tear offs, thus forcing said rider to always wipe the lens with muddy gloves) than your bare goggle lens and I haven’t had to change lenses as frequently. After some use and abuse linked with emotions . peel up around the edges and that’s when it’s time for you to replace them. You can you need to from the old one, clean the lens and install a brand new RipClear. While the not in the lens stays a lot more scratch resistant, the interior remains the standard lens.

moto tear offs lens protection remarked that after having the ability to use my lens for durations of time, the lining of the lens really starts to take more of a beating (specifically in dusty conditions). If I were required to put several into it I would state that a lens lasts 1.5 to 1.75 times more than lacking a RipClear. So depending on how much a lens costs for the goggle (from $10-$40 nowadays) some RipClear Lens protectors ($20 to get a pack of 2) will be worth a purchase that will get a bit more life beyond your lens (plus you won’t be cussing for your goggles or maybe your wife and changing lenses as often). I would say my main gripe regarding the product is that it’s slightly difficult to obtain the protector on perfectly and also have no bubbles involving the lens and protector. As of right now RipClear only offers a universal protector that fits relating to the tear off posts, but after talking with the company they intend to to discharge few goggle specific (for that popular models) protectors soon, that may have holes for tear off posts and reach further towards side of the lens. The company make me aware that as long as you will find there's interest in something that requires a protector, are going to delighted to create it. I think for additional hardcore moto riders it isn't really the ideal product because let’s boost the comfort, some moto riders are divas about field of vision and could have more money than your average blue collar off-road rider. I for starters result from an off-road background and I can really see a requirement of making lenses stay longer, specially when conditions get nasty. Feel free to reach to me if you have any more questions regarding his product at Michael@keeferinctesting. Or have a look at RipClear at ripclear.com.
