Growing up in Jerusalem as the child of teachers, Tal Dilian was fortunate to be sent to an affluent High School. He couldn't have imagined that he would have missed out on the opportunities offered by the high school curriculum in the early days.

Tal Dilian cofounded Atidim (a non-profit organisation that offers education to children who are disadvantaged) in 2000.



Atidim Israel's national program aims at bridging the gap between the rich and poor and creating more diverse and inclusive society. It helps educate the underprivileged youth in Israel.



Tal Dilian believed that equal education opportunities were essential for the future of any nation. He was the co-founder of Atidim (which means "futures") in English.



Students will be able to improve their science, math, English, and matriculation scores. They will also perform better on the highly competitive university entrance tests.



Atidim student receives 40,000 NIS (12.425 USD), per year to cover tuition costs. They also get the cost of living, housing and computer expenses , which allow children from families with low income to obtain the degree they desire.

Atidim began with just 90 young talent, but today, that number is over 50,000.



Past recipients have found work in the financial, high-tech and defense industries and are giving back to their communities and helping to grow the nation's economy.



Atidim's CEO was Tal Dilian for five years. The diversity model used for the management of Atidim was successful in bringing about economic transformation and healthy communities.



Extending Atidim's reach by founding Daroma Tzafona



Tal Dilian was stepping down as CEO of Atidim. In the meantime, he co-founded Daroma, a non-profit organization. Daroma with Haim Rosenblatt Nir Gilad, and Eitan Wertheimer.



Atidim's management model of diversity has helped in achieving visions of sustainable communities and economic development. Dilian was armed with all the experience and knowledge he'd acquired at the time. He was the current Senior Director for Strategic Regional Development. One that focuses on developing the southern region of Israel and in particular, the Negev.



In 2005 the Israeli government approved 17 billion NIS (5 billion USD) 10-year plan for the development of the Negev region that was largely a desert area.



The Negev region encompasses 60% of the territory of Israel however only 8% of the population lived there when Daroma was founded.



Tal Dilian was one of the cofounders with his three other cofounders. Their intention was not just to encourage residents in the region to relocate, but to attract businesses and officials to the area.



DaromaTzafona is now known as DaromaTzafona to reflect its current focus on Israel's northern Galilee.



The company has an annual growth rate of 6% rate and has employed 4,000 more people throughout the region.
