Tal Dilian is the son of teachers and a Jerusalem resident, was privileged to be able to attend an acclaimed High School. He never would have imagined that he'd miss out on the high school education available at that time.

Tal Dilian was the founder and CEO of Atidim the non-profit group providing education opportunities for youths that are marginalized.



Atidim is a national program which is operating in Israel and aims to close the gap in socio-economic inequality and build an open and diverse society. It does this by offering education to youths from underprivileged regions of Israel.



Tal Dilian believed that equality of educational opportunity was essential for any country's future. So, he founded Atidim which literally translates to "futures".



Students will be able to improve their English as well as math, science and understanding and score better on university entrance exams.



Atidim students earn 40,000 NIS (12,425 USD) annually to pay tuition fees. Additionally, they get an internet connection, housing, and living expenses, which allows youths from low-income families to get a degree.

Atidim was established with 90 young talent. Today, the number has grown to the 50,000.



Recipients from the past are working in the high-tech, financial, and defense sector helping their communities and advancing the economy of the country.



Tal Dilian served as the chief executive officer of Atidim for five years. The Atidim model of diversity proved successful in transforming the economy as well as creating healthy communities.



Daroma Tzafona, a foundation which extends the reach of Atidim, was founded.



Tal Dilian, the CEO of Atidim also announced his resignation. He founded Daroma an organization that is non-profit, in collaboration with Haim Blumenblatt and Nir Gilad.



Atidim was governed on the basis of diversity. It had visions of sustainable communities, economic growth and a system that encouraged the inclusion of all people. Dilian's extensive expertise and experience has led him to be the Senior Director in Strategic Regional Development. The focus is on the Negev region as well as the development of southern Israel.



In 2005, the Israeli government approved a 17 billion NIS (5 billion USD) 10 year plan to develop the Negev region that was largely a desert area.



The Negev covers 60% of Israel's territory. However, only 8% of Israel's total population lived there before Daroma was founded.



A key goal for Tal Dilian and his three cofounders was to not only encourage people to move to the region, but in addition, to attract businesses and other government agencies to it.



DaromaTzafona is now known as DaromaTzafona because it focuses on the growth of Israel's northern Galilee.
