Minecraft is a game that should be played with friends. Sometimes you will all be working together to make something awesome or else you'll be playing with mods to recreate Eldenring, and in other instances, you'll be playing online servers to see what the internet offers. If you're playing online with other players it's not uncommon for things to become messy, and that appears to be the problem that the latest Minecraft snapshot is attempting to fix.
The Minecraft snapshot 22W24A is out. It's heading towards 1.19.1 with a few bug fixes, two new features as well as some bugs fixed. Chat reporting is the main feature. It allows you to report abusive messages being sent in game chat. Chat reporting can be accessed through the social interactions section, and you'll have to report the individual chat messages and choose the appropriate category for them, too. This will help prevent abuse of the system. You cannot make a general report about an individual user. It's not possible to determine what constitutes a real and actionable report, but it's worth learning the basics of it.
Outside of that the other major modification is that the amazing Minecraft allay is now able to be duplicated. This can be done by providing them with an amethyst shard, however duplicates have an 2.5-minute timer. This should ease any concerns about how many mobs of allay are out there. Also, more of a cute thing can only be a good thing, right?
In more non-official news, we're hugely fond of this Mario Kart mod for Minecraft. It incorporates the karts that we know and love, and adds some awesome aquatic features as well.
