Minecraft: Pocket Edition was patched to version 0.10 this week and brought with it not only the usual bugs and improvements (baby animals can now swim instead of sinking to a watery grave for instance) as well as visual enhancements too.

Although it may seem strange to implement a visual update to a game that is built around low-resolution block models and aesthetic design, the changes should be obvious. According to the official Minecraft: Pocket Edition Twitter account, there's "more watery-looking water," "foggier looking fog," "even fewer particles" and "tinted lighting for mobs and terrain."
It's fine to be happy that you aren't torturing a baby animal by putting it in water. That's okay, too. [Image: Microsoft]
