Minecraft Snapshot 20w14a

Although we've just added every update that we could think of to Minecraft we thought it would be beneficial to start the Nether Update snapshots from where we left off. This snapshot introduces Zoglins!
GAMING


New Features in 20w14a



- Hoglins who end up in the overworld are transformed into Zoglins rather quickly. But who would ever send a Hoglin to the Overworld? Compasses are now amused by Curse of Vanishing



Zoglins



- Zoglins are Zombie Hoglins - the result of the introduction of an Hoglin into the Overworld unlike Hoglins they can't be fed or bred and they don't seem to worry about warped fungus. Beware, these creatures are wild and will attack anything they observe!



Changes in 20w14a



The main menu background is now located in the Nether - The General statistics list is now alphabetically sorted. Strider balancing



Strider Balancing



- Strider speed when mounted has been significantly increased in order to more closely match boat speeds. Warped Fungus on a Stick now has 100 maximum damage per item, and it only takes 1 damage per Strider consumed. The boost is fantastic for crossing the lava sea when Warped Fungus is mounted on the Stick with Striders.



Technical Changes in 20w14a



The compass now includes LodestonePos, LodestoneDimension and LodestoneTracked data fields. If LodestoneTracked is zero the game will stop looking for the presence of a Lodestone in the specified position. The game registry now contains characteristics that are similar to sound events and items. - Region files are now opened in synchronous mode to increase the reliability of the game.



Game registry has been updated to include attributes. That means few changeshave been made:



- Entities and items will no longer have unidentified attributes. Names of certain attributes have been renamed to meet the requirements of resource location

To avoid the loss of data or data corruption following a crash region files can now be opened in the synchronous mode to prevent data loss or corruption following a crash.



Servers with dedicated servers can disable this by changing the sync chunks within the server.properties
