Minecraft: Education Edition will be coming to the iPad and educators will have access to it starting next month. Acesa's Blog The education edition of the game launched in 2016 and Microsoft says there are now 35 million licensed users in more than 115 countries. "Minecraft Education Edition for iPad unlocks new and easy methods of collaboration and sharing that has changed the way that our students and teachers learn about curriculum, projects and other topics," Kyriakos Kouraris, director of technology for education at PaRK International School, stated in an announcement. Koursaris stated that the features facilitate deep meaningful learning and the values it advocates, such as inclusion and 21st-century skills let everyone use technology with extraordinary success.
Minecraft: Education Edition for iPad will be available in September. It comes with an Microsoft 365 for Education License. Teachers who do not have Microsoft 365 for Education can learn how to obtain a license for the game here.
In its announcement today, Microsoft also said that the Chemistry Resource Pack developed for Minecraft: Education Edition will now be available to users playing Minecraft on Windows 10 PC and Xbox. It allows players to create elements, blend them into compounds and build periodic tables. They can also make items like balloons, sparklers, and underwater torch with chemistry.
