Minecraft's annual event started out as a convention, but flipped to streaming-only format in 2017 as a way to keep the intimate atmosphere for an increasingly large audience. It's returning to the live experience, however, and now has more information to share. The newly renamed Minecraft Festival will take place in Orlando's Orange County Convention Center from September 25th until September 27th. Tickets are available beginning on March 6th, at 12pm Eastern. Mojang and Microsoft have promised plenty of activities, in addition to hearing the latest Minecraft news. Tickets start at $60 for a one-day pass and $165 for three days. Additionally, everyone who attends will get an in-game Minecraft Festival cap that works with both Bedrock and Java. minecraft There are incentives to spend more, as with many conventions. The $225 Gold package grants you early access to panels and exhibits. Those who opt for the $300 Diamond package get access to a special lounge and a private bag and coat inspection.
This is a good thing for fans who have missed the chance to meet creators and other fans. With that said, Microsoft is taking a chance with the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Although September is still seven months away at the time of writing this, it's not certain the outbreak will be under control by the time. It's likely that Minecraft Festival will go ahead but you might need to be cautious when making plans for your life around the event.
