Technoblade, Popular Minecraft Creator, Dies from Cancer at the Age Of 23.

LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) - Technoblade is a top YouTube creator who is a specialist in Minecraft let's-play video and died one year after he was diagnosed with a cancer diagnosis according to the family statement. He was 23 years old.



In a touching YouTube video posted on Technoblade's channel the YouTuber's dad announced that his son had passed away. His father said, "He was the most amazing kid anyone could ever want." "I miss Technoblade."



The video uploaded Thursday with the title "so long nerds" included a posthumous message from the creator to his followers that was read by his father. "Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you're here I'm dead," Technoblade's message said informing that his real name is Alex. "Thank you for all your support for my content over the years. If I had another 100 lives I'm pretty sure I'd choose to be Technoblade each time as those were the happiest years of my life."



On Technoblade's store online there is a message that reads "In honor of his memory, a portion of the profits from all online orders will be donated to an amazing organization known as curesarcoma.org," linking to the Sarcoma Foundation of America.

Technoblade who's avatar on YouTube was a crown king pig currently has 10.8 million viewers on his YouTube channel. "I play too many video games. I may not be the best but I do have hot elbows," his YouTube bio reads.



A statement at the end of the video that was shared Thursday reads, "We, the family of Technoblade, wanted you all to know just how much he loved and admired his colleagues and fans. From Technoblade's earliest online days, he was constantly figuring out ways to delight and reward his fans. He managed to retain his good-natured humility despite his accomplishments and maintained an enthralling balance between his confidence level and his self-deprecating wit. He was averse to fame and was determined to keep his identity private. We would like to ask you to respect his wishes to guard his privacy as well as the privacy of his family."



The statement continued, "This year has been difficult for our son , as we have fought stage four cancer." But he never complained and continued to use his famously strategic mind to fight what he knew were almost impossible odds. My son's determination in this situation was a shining example to all of us who had the opportunity to walk it with him. We are thankful that you shared his journey with us, as he completed the work that he loved for his beloved fans.



According to his father Technoblade recorded his final message to his fans just eight hours before his death. His father stated that although he didn't say all he wanted to, he did get the main points.



Technoblade revealed his diagnosis of cancer in August 2021. He said he experienced pain in his right arm since the beginning of August. At first, he thought it was caused by repetitive stress injuries caused by gaming. After a few days the shoulder began swelling and thought that he might have fractured bone. When he visited the hospital and was diagnosed with cancer.
