Microsoft is aware that Minecraft can help kids get into programming, and it's betting on that strategy again this year. The Minecraft Hour of Code Designer tutorial teaches children 6 years or older how to build an easy game. It was developed by Microsoft and Code.org. roof info The Designer lets you easily demonstrate common code concepts such as loops or object-oriented programming. It also lets your imagination run wild in the Minecraft world of blocks. You can have chickens drop gold and create rules that are as ridiculous or as logical as you want.
The tutorial is available now in 10 languages and it'll be available in 50 languages when Computer Science Education Week kicks off on December 5th. Of course, this course will not be as simple as learning the programming language. Microsoft and Code.org hope that this will teach children the importance of programming languages and help them begin a career in computer science.
