Thailand's official national lottery is drawn twice a month. It is one of two forms of legalised gambling in the country. The lottery is administered by the Government Lottery Office. It is one of the oldest forms of gambling in Thailand, and many people find it exciting. It is not for everyone, though. Thai lottery winners can claim their prize by filling out a claim form. Alternatively, they can write their details on the back of their winning ticket. If the ticket costs less than 20,000 baht, the winner can claim their prize in cash. The prize money is taxable, so the lottery winner should pay 0.5% tax to the local lottery agent.
Thai lottery tickets have six-digit numbers. These numbers are placed on special paper which is produced by the Thai government. It features a two-tone Wayupak watermark. It also has two kinds of silk thread, one that can be seen with the naked eye and the other one that can only be seen with ultraviolet light. These tickets are printed on special chemical paper and bleach will stain them.
The next draw will take place on 16th September 2022. You can expect the results to be available before 3 PM that day. However, sometimes the results will take a little longer to release than others. Therefore, check the official website for the results. If you don't have a computer, you can use the direct URL of the lottery website to download the results.
There are two kinds of tickets in the Thai lottery: the Thai government lottery (TGL) and the Thai charity lottery (TCL). The Thai Government Lottery (TGL) ticket has a top prize of three million baht, while the Thai Charity Lottery (TCL) ticket has a maximum payout of two million baht. Thai lottery winners need to claim their prizes within two years of the draw date.
