NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of visitors from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% increase over 2019.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He stated, "It's so exciting to once more see an rise in tourism to Israel from America, already in the process of surpassing or exceeding the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States is our top market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel each month. We are so happy to see this positive change and expect this trend to last throughout the months and years to come."


Not far behind in the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing its tourist arrivals in Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in August.
