NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- In July and August 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of visitors from America. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4 percentage increase over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was exciting to observe the growth in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019 he stated. "The United States is our top market for inbound tourism to Israel and prior to the COVID-19 pandemic that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entries month after month; We're extremely pleased to witness this positive change and expect a continued upward trajectory for many months and years to come."
