Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking tourism entry From the United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022- New record breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from 2019.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He stated, "It's so exciting to again see an rise in tourism to Israel from America, which is already reaching or surpassing the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States is our most important destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel every month. We are so happy to have witnessed an improvement in the trend, and we expect this trend to last for a long time."

Canada is set to beat Israel's tourism arrivals, with 7,200 tourists visiting Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada in the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We are getting close to our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians are more comfortable at ease abroad.
