NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% growth over 2019.

He stated, "It's so exciting to witness a further increasing number of tourists visiting Israel from America, which is already exceeding or even surpassing the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States has been the most important market for Israel's tourism inbound. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, we were celebrating record number of Israeli tourism entries each month.
Canada is poised to surpass Israel's tourist arrivals, with 7,200 tourists visiting Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 in August.
Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) declared that "it is exciting to watch how Canada's tourist to Israel is rebounding." We are getting close to our record numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue as Canadians are more comfortable at ease in Israel.
In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists including 969,600 from the United States, and since its official reopening for everyone regardless of their vaccination status in May this year Israel has witnessed more than 600,400 US travelers.
