Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of visitors from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over 2019, while 71,000 American tourists were in Israel during August 2022.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. נווה פריצקי said, "It's so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from America, which is already reaching or surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019". "The United States has been our most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we had record figures of the number of tourists entering Israel each month.

Canada is set to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.

Israel has hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019, of which 969,600 were from the United States. Since May when the country was opened to all visitors regardless of vaccination status over 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
