Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourism entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four percent increase over the year before and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He stated, "It's so exciting to once more see an increase of tourism to Israel from America, which is already in the process of surpassing or exceeding our record breaking numbers of 2019". "The United States is our most popular destination for tourism to Israel prior to the COVID-19 pandemic that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist numbers month after month; We're so happy to see this positive change and we anticipate an upswing for the years and months to follow."

Canada, not too far from that of the United States of America, is set to beat the tourist numbers to Israel. It had 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in visitors in August.

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million tourists from abroad in 2019 and this included 969.600 of them coming from the United States.
