Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Break Tourism Entry The Numbers Come From the United States
NEW YORK - September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.

He said, "It's so exciting to again see an increasing number of tourists visiting Israel from America, which is already exceeding or even surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019". "The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel prior to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced, we had record-breaking numbers of tourism entries every month. We're thrilled to witness an improvement in the trend and we anticipate an increase in the coming months and years to follow."

Canada is on track to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

Israel received more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 of them were from the United States. The country's officially reopening to travelers in May saw more than 600,000.
