Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking tourism entry The Numbers Come from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This represents a 13% improvement from 2019.


נווה פריצקי Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to see a new rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure of 2019," he stated. "The United States is our number one market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we had record-breaking numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel each month. We are so happy to witness such a positive shift, and we expect it to continue for many months and years."

Canada with 7,200 visitors in July 2022, and 6,000 in August is not much behind the United States.

"It is exciting to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is growing," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not far off our record-setting numbers in 2019, and we are anticipating that this growth in the number of travelers to Israel will further increase as Canadians remain confident about traveling internationally."

Israel has hosted more than 4.6million tourists in 2019, 969,600 of which were from the United States. Since May when the country was opened to all visitors, regardless of their vaccination status, more than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
