Harry bought eight bags of cat food in virtual form for PS99 each on The Battle Cats game, in addition to making a variety of purchases on Minecraft for PS48.99 each, six on the popular game Among Us and smaller purchases of PS1.99.
Apple has since announced that it would refund Ms Smith the money.
But furloughed PA Ms Smith is now urging Apple to add an additional layer of security.
She said that the games are addictive and encourage children to spend more money. Apple has made it possible for children to spend money.
"Harry did something as innocent as a child could. He didn't want him to use his iPad , so he placed his thumbprint on it to ensure that he wouldn't be able to get into.

'I'm furloughed. I have already seen a decrease in my monthly payments but then it was literally cleaned. To pay my bills, I had to borrow money.
"My son has special requirements and I'm struggling. To have this added on top of that isn't fair.'
After Harry spent 99p and ran an unfathomable amount of debt she branded the games dangerous.
Harry offered to pay back his mother by using money from his pocket.
She stated, "The only purchase I made on that account was 99p. I was completely unaware of it until they told me that your card's details automatically save."
"There should be a choice available, and If there was I'd say no. This will stop this from happening to children. This is the goal I'm trying to get to with Apple.
"I had security settings set, but unfortunately I've got a smart kid who managed to leave his thumbprint there.

Ms Smith claims that her bank refused to stop her payments because they were authorised. She then applied to individually pay for each purchase online, but claims Apple twice refused to refund her money.
When she confronted Harry the boy was 'in tears' and offered to repay her with his own pocket money.
Apple declined to respond, but did point to its "Ask to Buy" feature that sends a message to family members whenever an individual child attempts to make a purchase.
The parent, or account the account holder, is then able to approve or decline the request to prevent issues like Ms. Smith's.
