Minecraft star Stampy Cat to present an RSE Christmas message

YouTube and Minecraft legend Stampy Cat will deliver a lecture to 2,000 Dundee schoolchildren.
Stampy who's real name was Joseph Garrett, will deliver the Royal Society of Edinburgh's Christmas Lecture in Caird Hall on Monday.
The creator of the "Let's Play" videos for Minecraft and other games has more than 6.7m subscribers on his YouTube channel.
The lecture will be broadcast exclusively on BBC iPlayer next Thursday.
BBC Scotland reported that Minecraft fans will get to see Stampy demonstrate how he creates his videos during a discussion with Chris van der Kuyl, Dundee games entrepreneur.
Stampy will share his story of how he made Christmas extra special and offer insight into his life.
Van der Kuyl said that Stampy was the "epitome digital native of the 21st century" who would inspire viewers regardless of their age.
"Stampy is a source of inspiration for a whole new generation of youngsters who can clearly see that the future of jobs will be based on a unique blend of talent, creativity, technical and design skills that can be mastered by anyone," he added.
The RSE lecture will be shown as part of the BBC Make it Digital initiative to promote digital creativity among young people.
