Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking Tourism Entry Counts from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4% rise over 2019, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% over 2019.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel, and before the outbreak of COVID-19 that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist numbers each month. We're extremely pleased to witness such a positive shift and anticipate a steady upswing for the years and months to come."

Canada is also on track, just like the United States, to surpass the number of tourists who visit Israel. In July 2022, Canada saw 7,200 tourists and August witnessed 6,000.


"It is exciting to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is booming," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not far off our record 2019 numbers We are hoping that this increase in the number of travelers to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians remain confident about traveling abroad."
