Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today announced new records for arrivals of tourists in Israel from the United States in July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% increase over the year before.


Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to see a new growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers in 2019," he stated. "The United States is the leading market for Israel inbound tourism. Actually, prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were celebrating record breaking figures of tourist entry month after month. It's a great positive trend that we're pleased to witness and anticipate an upward trajectory for months to be."

Canada is on track to surpass Israel's tourist arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 tourists in August.

"It is thrilling to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is growing," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not far off our record numbers for 2019, and we are anticipating that this growth in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians continue to feel more confident about travelling abroad."

Israel received more tourists from all over the world during the year 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 were Americans. Israel's official reopening to travellers from May 2018. The country has already been home to over 600,400 US tourists since the time of opening.
