While it might feel like Minecraft is everywhere, players have had to wait as the popular franchise launched on all other platforms of the company except Nintendo's. We're happy to announce today: After months and even years of waiting for the game to be released, the Japanese video game maker has announced that the Sandbox game will be coming to the Wii U in December 2017. Minecraft java As expected, Minecraft will come with a multitude of add-on packs, giving players who are just beginning to build the game the chance to get festive before Christmas or play with characters from popular movies and TV shows like Star Wars, The Simpsons and Dr Who.
Mojang is making use of Off-TV Play feature on the Wii U to let players transfer their worlds over to their GamePad controller, and let other members of the family to commandeer the TV. When Minecraft launches on the Nintendo eShop in North America next week, Minecraft will cost $30- there's currently no word on how much it'll set back UK and European gamers.
