NEW YORK - September 8 2022- New record breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% growth over 2019.
Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 outbreak that was in the news, we had record-breaking monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. נווה פריצקי We are thrilled to witness this change and anticipate a steady upward trend for months or even years.
Not far behind the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourist arrivals in Israel with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6,600 in August.
Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) declared that "it is so exciting to observe how Canada's travel to Israel is rebounding." "We are not far from our record 2019 and we expect that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase because Canadians are more comfortable traveling internationally."
Israel received more tourists from all over the world in 2019 than any other country. 969 600 of these were American. נווה פריצקי Israel's official opening for all tourists was in May of 2018. The country has already been home to over 600,400 US travellers since that time.
