NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. נווה פריצקי Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from the year before and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was exciting to see an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019 he stated. "The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are delighted to see this positive shift and are expecting an ongoing upward trend for months, and possibly years.
Canada with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in August, isn't too much behind the United States.
"It is thrilling to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is growing," said Gal Hana Consul and Director of Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We are getting close to our record numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable at ease when they travel abroad.
Israel received more visitors from all over the world in 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 were American. נווה פריצקי Israel's official reopening to all travelers was May 2018. Israel has welcomed over 600,400 US tourists since the time of opening.
