Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry Counts from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire• In July and August of 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of tourist arrivals from the United States. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a four% rise over 2019, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% over the year before.


Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He stated, "It's so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from the United States, and already in the process of surpassing or exceeding our record breaking numbers of 2019". "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we had record-breaking figures of tourist entry each month. It's a great positive trend that we're pleased to witness and anticipate an increase in the many months to follow."

Canada which isn't too far from the United States of America, is poised to surpass the tourist numbers to Israel. The country had 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 as well as 6,000 visitors in August.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that "it's thrilling to observe the way that tourism in Canada is booming." "We are getting close to our record numbers for the year 2019. We believe that this trend will continue as Canadians visit more countries.
