Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking tourism entry From the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire• In July and August of 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of visitors from America. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States during July 2022 which is an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% increase over 2019.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to observe a rise in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019, he said. "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. Actually, prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we had record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country month after month. This is a positive shift that we are very happy about and anticipate an increase in the years to come."

Canada is in the process, like the United States, to surpass the amount of tourists that visit Israel. In July 2022 Canada received 7,200 visitors and August was a record the number increase to 6,000.

We are close to our record-setting numbers for the year 2019, and we are anticipating that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more at home when they travel abroad.


Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million international visitors in the year 2019 including 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless if they are vaccination-free. Israel has already hosted over 600,000.
