NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. נווה פריצקי נווה פריצקי Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% over the year before.
"It is so exciting to witness a new increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers of 2019" stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Canada is not far from the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the number of tourists visiting Israel. It reached 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 as well as 6,000 visitors in August.
Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada in the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are getting close to our record 2019 numbers. We believe that this growth will continue as Canadians visit more countries.
Israel hosted more than 4.6million tourists in 2019, of which 969,600 came from the United States. Since May that year, when Israel reopened to all travelers regardless of vaccination status over 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
