Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking tourism entry Indicators from the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over the year before, while 71,000 American tourists visited Israel in August 2022.

"It is so thrilling to once again see an rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers in 2019." stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. We are so happy to have witnessed this positive change and anticipate it to continue throughout the months and years to come."

Canada with 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 in August, isn't too far from the United States.

We're close to reaching our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this growth in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable at ease abroad.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world including 969,600 from the United States, and since the country's official opening to any traveler regardless of the status of their vaccination in May of this year Israel has seen over 600,400 US visitors.
