Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourist entry The numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswire/ -- In July and August 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of tourists arriving from the United States. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase from 2019 seven thousand tourists from America were in Israel during August 2022.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He said, "It's so exciting to again see an increasing number of tourists visiting Israel from America, already reaching or surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019". https://www.facebook.com/neveparitzki "The United States is our number one destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we had record-breaking numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel every month. We are so happy to have witnessed this positive change, and we expect it to continue for many months and years."

In line with the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourist arrivals in Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 , and 6000 in August.


Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We are getting close to our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more at ease abroad.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from abroad in 2019 and this included 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter if they are vaccinated. It has already hosted more than 600,000.
