Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourism entry From the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire-- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he said. "The United States is our top market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we had record numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel every month. We are extremely happy to have witnessed this positive change and anticipate it to continue for many months and years."

Canada is on track to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) said that "it is thrilling to watch how Canada's tourist to Israel is rebounding." We are getting close to our record-setting numbers for the year 2019 and we expect that this growth in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more at home abroad.
