Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers - United States
NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today announced new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and August. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% increase over the year before.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is thrilling to see a new rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking figure of 2019," he stated. "The United States has been the most important source of tourism for Israel inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we had been celebrating record-breaking numbers of Israel's tourism entry each month.

Canada is also on track, just like the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022, Canada received 7,200 visitors and August witnessed 6,000.

"It is exciting to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana Consul and Director of Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not far from our record 2019 and we are anticipating that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase because Canadians feel more confident about traveling internationally."
