Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking entry into tourism Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - September 8 2022Record-breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4 percentage increase over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% higher than in the year 2019.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He said, "It's so exciting to witness a further increase of tourism to Israel from America, already reaching or surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019". "The United States is our most important destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. נווה פריצקי Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we saw record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel every month. נווה פריצקי We are extremely happy to have witnessed such a positive shift and anticipate it to continue throughout the months and years to come."

Not far behind in the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed its tourist arrivals in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

"It is thrilling to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is booming," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are near our record numbers for the year 2019. We believe that this increase will continue as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 of them were of the United States. The country's officially reopening to travelers in May has seen more than 600,000.
