Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking Tourism Entry From the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4% increase over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record-breaking numbers of tourists entering the country each month. This is a positive change that we are very happy about and expect an upward trend for many months to follow."

Canada is not far behind that of the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the tourist numbers to Israel. The country had 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in August.


Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism said that "it's thrilling to observe the way that tourism in Canada is booming." We're not too away from our record-setting numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this surge in Israel travel will continue to increase as Canadians find it easier to travel abroad."

Israel welcomed more tourists from around the world in the year 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of them were Americans. Israel's official reopening for all travelers was May 2018. The country has already received more than 600,400 US travelers since then.
