Technoblade, 'Minecraft' YouTube Creator, Dies Aged 23

Technoblade, top Minecraft YouTuber, has died aged 23 following a battle with cancer.



The father of the creator uploaded a video that was moving on YouTube on Thursday, titled "so long nerds," with the message written by Technoblade himself. The video was conceived by his family during his final months, but it was written by Technoblade just eight hours before his death the father of the creator said. In the message the rapper revealed his real name: Alex.



"Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you're watching this. He wrote, "I am dead," in a message that was read by his father. "Thank you all for your support of my content over the years. I am convinced that Technoblade would be my first choice in the event that I had another hundred lives. They were the most joyous years of my life.



His father stated in the video that he was "the most amazing child anyone could ever wish for." I'm missing Technoblade."



Technoblade, who has 10.8 million subscribers on YouTube has announced his diagnosis of cancer on the platform in August 2021.



Technoblade's family issued an apology at the end of Thursday's video.



"We, the Technoblade family wanted to let you know how the much he loved and admired his colleagues and fans." From Technoblade's earliest online days, he was always strategizing ways to delight and reward his followers," it read.



"Even after his eventual success he managed to maintain his good-natured humour, and compete with an endearing balance between self-confidence and self-deprecation with. He was averse to fame and made every effort to keep his real identity private. We request that you respect his wishes to safeguard his privacy and the privacy of his family members."



Technoblade's online store also has an obituary, which states that a portion of online purchases will be donated to the Sarcoma Foundation of America. "This online store is being run by Technoblade's family. Libertycm We're aware of the joy he's brought over the years and we want to ensure that we continue spreading his message," it reads.



A black T-shirt is just one of the items available in the store. It has the words "so long geeks" printed underneath.



Technoblade's fans and associates have also posted touching tributes online to him. Some are fellow creators, others collaborate, and others have been following Technoblade for a long time.



Hypixel, a Minecraft minigame server, has posted an impressive tribute to Technoblade as well, as he was a frequent player on the server. In a statement, founder and CEO Simon Collins Laflamme described Technoblade as "one of the most globally loved YouTubers."



"He will be remembered fondly and missed deeply," the post read. "He was a generous, talented, passionate young man with a lot of potential. We are extremely grateful to him and grateful to be able to count him as a prominent part of the larger community. Technoblade's success has been in many ways related to our success.



Technoblade's family was also urged to pay tribute to the team in "any main lobby" of the server.



Technoblade started his channel in 2013, and quickly rose to recognition. Technoblade was dubbed "one the top Minecraft players in content creators."
