Minecraft Hackers Post Hundreds of Personal Login Details Online

Microsoft was left in a state of dismay after its Xbox One service was hacked by hackers during Christmas. Now it is facing a similar problem.



The reports on a German website claim that a list of 1,800 Microsoft-owned Minecraft's usernames and passwords have been released online.



If they have access to these information A security expert warns that criminals could break into accounts, change settings and purchase virtual goods.

MailOnline was informed by a Microsoft spokesperson that they could confirm that there was no Mojang.net services were compromised.

Cluely also said that there's no assurance that the hacker who is responsible for this list doesn't possess more money.



Microsoft purchased Mojang in September in a deal that was said to be worth $2.5 billion (PS1.5 billion).



The game is available on PCs and Androids, iOS, Windows Phone and Windows Phone. It also works on consoles such as the Xbox One or PlayStation 4.



However there is a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed to MailOnline that there was no evidence that the Mojang.net service was compromised. Although the amount of information revealed is not that big in comparison to the game's 100,000,000 users, Mr Cluely declared that there's no assurance that the hacker who published the list of details didn't have more information in their back pocket'.



At the start of the game, the player is put into a 'virtually infinite game world.' They can then walk around various terrains, including caves, mountains, and forests.



More than 16,645,000 players have bought the game, to date, and it is an online phenomenon.



YouTube channels are available that provide tutorials on how to play the game. In some cases, the owners can even quit their jobs by advertising.
