Hackers have criticized the Danish government's plan to recreate the entire country using the popular computer game Minecraft.

Officials have confirmed that major cities including Copenhagen were damaged by users who smuggled virtual dynamite into the Danish area.

Parts of the city are being rebuilt by the Danish government.

Danish officials admitted 'Several large Danish towns have been leveled to the ground and a lot of new things have been built all over the place'

What is Minecraft?

The government was the first to fully integrate a nation into the massive Minecraft games. It was hoped that it could help make learning more enjoyable for students.

It even came up with a series of lessons plans for teachers to guide them through the virtual version of their country.

Initial reports claimed that entire cities were destroyed.

However the claims have been denied.

"Entire cities aren't completely fooled by the media." https://ebookmarks.co/ It's only MINOR areas," said Chris Hammekenof the Danish GeoData Agency

We see it as a nature of playing Minecraft - elements are broken down and new ones are being created.

'Therefore we will not reboot the demo of Denmark in Minecraft.

"Occasionally, we'll also reconstruct minor areas if structures are removed and nothing new is being created.'

"We have built Denmark online in Minecraft in order that young people can plant their own forests, establish riding schools, lakes, biogas plant, wind turbine and more,' said the Kirsten Brosbol, Danish Minister for the Environment, at the project's launch.

"Pupils believe it's more enjoyable to work with their own home, street and so on.
