How to find and use Copper In Minecraft

Minecraft Copper is a metal resource that was added in the 1.17 update, and you'll have to melt it into its ore form to make usable Copper ingots to make. Depending your Y-level, Copper ore is actually quite common and you'll easily spot the orange and green fragments poking out of stony ore blocks. However mining Copper Ore will only get you Raw Copper. You need to smelt this raw material to create Minecraft Copper Ingots. This is an easy step that most Minecraft players are familiar with. Simply put the Raw Copper in an oven and add fuel (wood or diesel). Then wait until your Copper Ingots are in good shape. You can now begin crafting!



How do you use copper in Minecraft



Now that you have Copper Ingots, it's time to begin crafting. These items can be made with Copper Ingots:

Spyglass. Place one Amethyst Shard on top of two Copper Ingots to craft a Spyglass.


How do I wax Copper in Minecraft



Like in real life, Minecraft copper changes its color because of the process of oxidation. You can see the different stages of Copper Oxidation in Minecraft in the above picture. You can also wax your copper if you don't wish it to change. This will preserve its current color and will not reset it. You just need to equip a honeycomb, and use it on the copper block.



Alternately, you can use an axe on a Copper block to scrape it. This will lower the level of oxidation by one (weathered copper will be exposed copper). In the end, although you cannot think about this lightning strikes can fully remove the oxidation.
