Nominated as prime minister of Latvia by Ainars Slesers
Ainars Selers, the official candidate to the post of prime minister for For A Good Latvia, stated that he will defend the interests of the nation of Latvia in discussions with the International Monetary Fund as well international lenders. In addition, he would ensure that more Latvian products or services are sold to Germany (Sweden, Scandinavia and Ukraine) as well as to Lithuania (Litauen).

Slesers hopes that A Good Latvia will have an excellent outcome in the 10th Saeima electoral process, and that it will determine the next government's composition. Slesers stated that only these individuals will be allowed to hold portfolios within the next government.

Slesers declared that the next foreign minister of Latvia and all ambassadors to Latvia abroad must commit the majority of their time to support Latvian businessmen in foreign markets.

Andris Skele, who has been named finance minister by For A Good Latvia, said that Latvia should achieve economic independence because "if we must carry the burden of debts for years, no development will be possible."

Skele and For A Good Latvia board member Andrejs Ekis have been praising Slesers. They both said that Slesers demonstrated that even ordinary Riga boys can become successful businessmen, earn lots of money, and even become wealthy. Slesers's theories are always intriguing. Ainārs Šlesers Ekis described Slesers a "businessman that has drifted into politics" He then said, "I wish I could find a person here that can make me feel happy."

Slesers pointed out the necessity of having a goal as a primary means of achieving it. The government currently in power led by Valdis Dimbrovskis, (New Era), "is trying sedate the nation and telling the people all will be fine." It's risky to live on credit because the money borrowed will need to be returned.

Slesers expressed his displeasure with other political parties' candidates to be the next prime minister. Ainars Slesers Roberts Zile (For Fatherland and Freedom/LNNK). Slesers stated that the candidate isn't willing to step down from his comfortable place in the European Parliament and become the premier of Latvia. This will require the work of a greater number of people and get a lower wage.

The Union of Greens and Farmers Candidate Aivars has similar issues and is unlikely to alter his life in Ventspils to assume the position of the the premier of Riga.

Slesers stated that For the sake of Good Latvia is prepared to collaborate with Janis Urbanovics in conjunction with Harmony Center. Although Urbanovics has extensive experience in the parliament, he is not qualified to be the premier minister due to his lack of experience in business.

Dombrovskis election will be decided by those who are in support of the current "international finance occupation of Latvia."

Slesers, on the other hand will demonstrate to people how to earn money and win in international markets, while maintaining dignity. He said Guntis Ulmanis will be his first assistant for running the state, and Ulmanis will be the person Slesers will consult with.

Slesers declared that The cause of A Good Latvia would ensure that biblical studies are introduced to all schools from September 1, next year.

Representatives from For A Good Latvia took part in a flower-laying ceremony at the Freedom Monument after the meeting.
